These war service and imprisonment cards are also called "War of the Revolution Navy and Privateer Records." They cover 1) officers and men of captured American vessels taken to Forton Prison; 2) prize money due to men who served under John Paul Jones; and 3) captured seamen imprisoned at Old Mill Prison, with name, rank, vessel, nationality, and sometimes the circumstances of imprisonment and release. The cards are arranged alphabetically by surname.
