enjamin was born somewhere in New York. He was married in Michigan to Sarah Lavantia Card in 1851. He served in the Civil War in the 5th Michigan Cavalry. In the 1880s he moved to Utah and then to Idaho. He died at Preston, Idaho and was buried in the city cemetery.
