O

n November 20, 1820, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, an 85 foot sperm whale repeatedly rammed the Nantucket whaleship, "Essex." The ship quickly filled with water and capsized leaving its crew to make their way across the ocean in three whale boats with limited food and water.
