gt. Donald L Dungey, service # 38398375, served with Company A of the 146th Engineer Combat Battalion. On June 6th, 1944, Sgt. Dungey landed on Omaha Beach and was clearing beach obstacles with explosives, when he was killed by enemy fire. He is buried in Plot H Row 14 Grave 9, at the Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
