echnical Sergeant Albert G Brenan, service #6979275 was Radio Operator with the 323rd Bomber Group, Medium, 455th Bomber Squadron. He was on the crew of the B-26 Marauder #41-31961 during a mission to Caen, France on D-Day. They were hit by flak in the bomb bay and wing. They moved out of formation and most of the crew was able bale out. They then went into a spin and exploded on impact. Four members of the crew were killed, including Albert. Albert G Brenan is buried or memorialized at Plot P Row 1 Grave 20, Brittany American Cemetery, St. James, France. Awards: ★ Distinguished Flying Cross ★ Air Medal w/12 OLC ★ Purple Heart
