One Of The 75Mm Shells Hit This B-24 And Exploded In The - Page 3#44-41476 B-24L-5-CO "Maid Of Honor" arrived in Nov. 1944 at Saipan with 4 other new "L" models -flew 22 missions with the 392nd B.S. 30th B.G. Flak damage over Iwo Jima on 1/17/45 sent it to the Depot for extensive repair.
30th B.G. 392nd B.S.Added by: jun392B-24M-5-CO #44-42065 "Old Crow"- before lettering was added. Arrived in Saipan on Feb. 4th 1944 and flew 5 missions with the 30th B.G. 392nd B.S. It was then transferred to the 11th B.G. 26th B.S. at Guam by March 1st 1945.
