first lieutenant and bombardier in WWII, Jimmy's plane was shot down over Bulgaria and Romania. Jimmy was a POW. He was then sent to Italy and Miami Florida after. He re-enlisted to become a jet pilot and became Captain Jimmy Robinson. He served through his death on November 1 1952 in Operation Mike, the explosion of a super large hydrogen bomb which caused great difficulties for the four plane squadron. Jimmy went down. Supposedly his plane was never recovered. He has a memorial at Arlington National Cemetery.
