emorial for my Dad, Ray O. Dorman. He enlisted in the U.S. Army at Ft. Ord, Monterey, CA. After basic training he was sent to San Pedro Daugherty Field where he then was transported over seas to England aboard the Historic Queen Mary. He served 2 years under the 576th Bombardment Group, 392nd Bombardment group, 8th Air Force at Station 118 Wendling in Norwich, England as a Mechanic and Driver Personnel Transportation Vehicles [big truck and jeeps]. Although he did not share much about those years. He held the experiences close to his soul.
