Obituary:

GRANBURY - Zela E. Newman, a homemaker, died Tuesday at her Granbury home. She was 84.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Brown Gause-Ware, Owens & Brumley Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Newman was born in Fall Creek, Hood County, and lived in Fort Worth for 40 years. She was a member of Granbury Church of Christ.

Survivors: Son, James Newman of Granbury; four sisters, Nona Moran of Granbury, Odessa Porter of Lewisville, Florence Purselley of Fort Worth and Virgie Butchee of Lamesa; three grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
