Eddie Hopp and the Swinging Seabees of ACORN 44 | Thomas P Hopp's BlogEddie Hopp was the boogie-woogie piano player in the swing band of ACORN 44 during the invasion of Okinawa. A seaman second class and a Seabee, he worked on the construction of a seaplane base in preparation for the invasion of the main islands of Japan.
