Monsignor Clarence M. DeRuntz, age 77, died May 5, 1997, at his residence in the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio. He was born Aug. 12, 1919, in Chicago to Martin J. and Christina (nee Haubrich) DeRuntz.

As a child, he moved to Naperville with his family in 1924. He attended Ss. Peter and Paul grade school.
