Revolutionary War Pension Application of Zely and Mary Reno

T

hese documents prove that Zely Reno was a veteran of the American Revolution. As a result, in the 1830s he received a pension, as did his wife after he passed away. At first Mary was denied the pension because she could not establish that she was the legal wife of Zely. Apparently the marriage certificate burned up when Indians burned their house in Kentucky.
