Since both parents died when he was young, he was appointed a legal gaurdian (Titus HOSMER) on 2 Oct 1769, Migrated with wife and children to Ontario Co, NY - later to become Avon, Livingston Co, NY (following the path of older brother Timothy HOSMER - one of the founders of that place and surgeon in the Rev War). More children born there. Graves and wife Amy buried in Avon Cemetery, Avon, Livingston Co, NY. Locality line for Graves HOSMER: 1756 - 1838 Hartford Co, CT > Middletown, Middlesex Co, CT > New London Co, CT > Hartford, Ontario Co, NY > Avon, Ontario Co, NY > Avon, Livingston Co, NY.
