as Stirman was commander of the 1st Arkansas Cavalry Battalion in July 1862, but he soon became commander of one of the first Sharpshooter Regiments of the Civil War, and they were not in Virginia. This Unit is under review and much more will be added this summer, when publication will be allowed.
