bituary: Bernard Prell was born in Germany in 1809. He came to New York in 1824, moved later to Albany, N.Y. , and became a resident of Detroit in 1850. He was associated with the Schloss Brothers in the clothing business. Mr. Prell served as the first chairman of the Religious School of Temple Beth El and was active in the Jewish Lodges of the city. He married Julie Heller and their children were: Abraham, Henrietta (Mrs. Sigmund Bettman), Rebecca, (Mrs. Meyer Breitenbach), Rose (Mrs. Levi Rosenstock), Leonard, Bertha (Mrs. Max Berger) and Minnie (Mrs. Edward Frankenstein). Their living grandchildren are: Bernhard Prell of Tampa, Fla., Dr. Lawrence Breitenbach of Detroit, Harry Breitenbach of Detroit , Mrs. Louise Clancy of Detroit, Alfred Rosenstock and Mrs. John R. Coots of Kansas City, Jack Frankenstein of South Bend, Ind., Jefferey Berger of Detroit and Mrs. Hilda Vau Consant of Detroit.
