Doug Spray, age 37 of Rockwall, TX, passed away August 29, 2009. He was born August 3, 1972, in Garland, TX, to Gary Spray and Marsha Ellis. A member of Lake Pointe Church, Doug had a love of life which was evidenced in his work as firefighter and paramedic with the Addison Fire Department for six years, and his time spent outdoors, hunting, fishing, canoeing and golfing. Doug was devoted to his family and time spent helping others. He is survived by his son Jake Spray, daughter Haylee Spray and their mother Jana Spray, with whom he had remained close, all of Rockwall, TX; father: Gary Spray and wife Laura of Garland, TX; mother: Marsha Zuver and husband Kenneth of Rockwall; grandmother: Ida Mae Ellis of Rockwall; siblings: Cheryl Wilkerson and husband Steve of Heath, TX, Brandy and Trey Meeks and Kenny Zuver; nieces: Macy Wilkerson, Madison Meeks and Faythe Zuver; nephews: Clay and Cory Wilkerson and Trey Zuver; best friend: Pete Delavega; and his brothers of the Addison Fire Department, to whom the family expresses a special thanks, as well as to the city of Addison. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Thursday, September 3, 2009, at Lake Pointe Church with Pastor Steve Stroope officiating. Bill Bonny will offer the eulogy. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
