Robert Kent Horspool Name on the Traveling Viet Nam War Memorial. This is interesting to me as Robert (Bobby as the entire family--sisters, brother and cousins, aunts and uncles and grandparents knew him by) was my close cousin.

Read the KSL story about Bobby's Mother and Sister visiting the travelling wall and about finding out there might be a daughter Bobby fathered sometime prior to being shipping to Nam. Would like to know from the family who all had heard the "rumor" as a cousin of his I do not recall that EVER being mentioned at family gathers during the first few years after he was killed and buried. Thank you Marine for your service for your service to your Country and Corps....

Standing here in front of the Wall
silently reading your name
Solemnly I thank you one and all
Each of you different, yet the same

The list seems forever endless
but I remember your faces
You made the supreme sacrifice, I confess
as I walk slowly with measured paces

Each one of you answered the call
Willingly or not, you gave your lives
Rest easy, my Brothers - heroes all
The Nation still survives

"War drew us from our homeland

In the sunlit springtime of our youth.

Those who did not come back alive remain

in perpetual springtime -- forever young --

And a part of them is with us always."

God Bless you Marine                  ike
