12 Dec.1942 Entered the U.S. Army: was a Student at Bowman School of Medicine at Wake Forest, NC.

Medical Laboratory Technician: Was assigned to Station Hospital, Camp Croft, S.C. Worked in the Laboratory. Preformed medical diagnosis through parasitology, serology, hematology, bacteriology, blood chemistry, and urine analysis, using all laboratory equipment.

Related Civilian Occupation: Medical Student Laboratory Technician.

Entomology Technician: Was assigned to the 25th field Hospital in India 3 months he collected, identified and classified insects such as mosquitoes, bedbugs, and body lice for use in their control and medical research.

MP Assignment: Later he was assigned to guard the Burma Road as an MP.

Decorations and Citations: American Theater Service Medal: Asiatic Service Medal Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Metal.

Separation from the Army: Ft Bragg N.C. on 15 May 1946 as a T5

After leaving the Army: my dad went back to Wake Forrest Graduated BS 1947 entered Bowman School of Medicine graduated with MD in1951. Interned at the University of Chicago Clinics,1951-1952. Assistant Resident University of Chichago Clinics, 1952-1953. Medical Research Resident, Thayer V.A. Hospital Nashville, Tn. 1953-1954. Senior Assistant Resident, Medicine, Thayer V.A. Hospital. 1954-1955.
