Hermans Story

    Herman Roy Fuller wanted to join the Marines but was not accepted because of an broken nose. He was a good amateur boxer. He attained the rank of Sergeant, but he was later demoted for some incident while he was in England. Its not clear what happend, but they think it has something to do with his Boxing Skills. Herman Saw much action, he was involved in North Africa, the invasion of Sicily and an Italian Campaign. His team landed in Nijmegen area, where the town was liberated. The information says he died in the battle of the Waal bridge, giving aid to a wounded soldier and refused to leave him. An artillery shell killed him instantly.
