Stanley Wilhelm

Stanley Wilhelm, 59, single, 911 Third Street West, a 10 year veteran of the U.S. Navy and a charter member and former officer of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Ashland, died yesterday at the memorial Medical Center.

He was born at Drummond, December 18, 1915, son of the late Willis and Helma Selvig Wilhelm. He had lived in Ashland since 1933.

He retired from the U.S. Navy as chief boatswain's mate with a disability discharge. His service included World War II.

He attended the Methodist Church in Ashland.

He is survived by three brothers, Frank, Blaine, and Willard Wilhelm, and three sisters, Mrs. Roy (Dorothea) Lumberg, Ashland; Mrs. Marian Markeson, Ashland and Mrs. Thomas (Barbara) Secord, Ashland.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Leonard.

Funeral services will take place Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Frost Chapel, with Rev. Fred Thomas officiating.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today, Tuesday, at the funeral home. At 7:45 p.m. tonight there will be military rites at the funeral home.
