aron was the son of Lewis G. Melton and Mary Ann Scott born on 10 November 1837 in Lewis County, Tennessee. He fought in the Civil War as a Confederate and he went home to live a long life. He passed on 3 August 1935 in Wayne County, Tennessee at the age of 97. Buried at Banks Cemetery in Hohenwald, Lewis County, Tennessee.
