JERRY W. FISHER

Sgt. 1st Class Jerry Wayne Fisher, 49, passed away Saturday, April 10, 1999. He had 28 years of service with the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Gulf War.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Fisher; two sons, Jeremy Fisher of the home and Christopher Fisher of Winter Springs, Fla.; his parents, Peter and Nora Fisher of Waynesboro; a brother, Bobby Fisher of Bellevue, Neb.; a sister, Connie Samples of Stuarts Draft; two stepdaughters, Tracy Seitz and Kaye Slaughter; a stepson, David Boughan; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 3 to 4 p.m. at the W.J. Smith and Son Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 15, at 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel of the Centurion, Fort Monroe, with Chaplain Brett Travis officiating. Burial will follow, with full military honors, in Hampton National Cemetery, Phoebus section.

Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
