The brothers, who have worked as opticians in civilian life, are following the same career in the armed service.

They are Staff Sgt. Carl A. Jarl and Pct. Ted Jarl, sons of Mrs. Caroline Nelson, 1206 Forest Avenue. Fitting classes, testing eyes, fixing lenses are tasks that Carl, who worked at Dr. C. W. Duncan's laboratory before entering the Army, is doing in England, where he recently arrived. Here in the United States he was occupied at the same work at various camps.

Ted, a member of the medical depot supply company, is stationed somewhere in the South Pacific. He is not as specific about his duties as his brother is, but very likely is concerned with the care of the soldiers' eyes there as he was when he was stationed at Camp Grant. Prior to army service he worked at the Riggs Optical company here and also with Chicago optical firms.
