The funeral of Maurice C. Fitzgerald, quartermaster, U. S. N. R. F., of the U. S. S. Missouri, whose body was recovered from the York River, Va, last Saturday, will be held at the home of his parents, 30 Summer st, Somerville, at 1:30 next Sunday afternoon. Prayers will be read by Henry M. Tatten, of Lowell, a cousin of the deceased.

Naval honors will be paid him. A detachment from the receiving ship at Boston, consisting of a company, firing squad and a bugler, will assist at the burial. A company of the State Guard will also attend.

Quartermaster Fitzgerald, who was one of the first Somerville men to enlist in the Naval Reserve, entering the service April 14, 1917, at Boston Navy Yard, was on duty last Summer on a coast guard patrol boat outside Boston Harbor. Early December he was transferred to Philadelphia and assigned to duty on the Missouri.

A brother, William F., is a yeoman in the Naval Reserve, on duty at the Bureau of Navigation in Washington, and another brother, Lawrence [T]., is employed at the Charlestown Navy Yard.
