During the Vietnam War, anti-war messages sprouted like weeds from the walls and roadways of Vietnam. TheVietcong, in opposition to South Vietnam and their American allies, constantly left signs, graffiti, and anti-American propaganda along the travel routes of the southern part of the country.

The Vietcong would often leave messages for U.S. soldiers in an attempt to convince them to leave Vietnam. Though often a source of amusement for the Americans due to the spelling and grammar errors, this sort of propaganda was widely used throughout the war.

These messages were left as a method of psychological warfare in an attempt to influence the attitudes and opinions of the American and Vietnamese troops who opposed the Vietcong as well as the mindset of the civilians in the area.

Anti-war propaganda was also a common element in Communist pro-Vietcong literature.
