In honor and memory of Preston Goad.

The Pictures and Records section contains a compiling of gathered information and records in honor of Preston Goad, 1 of approximately 140+ Goads that have been compiled that served in the Civil War. The intent was to create a lineage of all the Goads in the Civil War and then establish those battles they may have fought against each other. Five years later it blossomed into 1300+ pages and continues to grow as more information is located. The Memorial Page was a perfect way to share the information gathered with descendants of Preston Goad and to honor that soldier.

Note: Preston continued service with the U.S. Regular Army through 1866 - 1867 with the 24th U. S. Infantry. After that - information could not be located on his whereabouts.
