In honor and memory of Charles Edward Goad.
The Pictures and Records section contains a compiling of gathered information and records in honor of Charles Edward Goad, 1 of approximately 140+ Goads that have been compiled that served in the Civil War. The intent was to create a lineage of all the Goads in the Civil War and then establish those battles they may have fought against each other. Five years later it blossomed into 1000+ pages and continues to grow as more information is located. The Memorial Page was a perfect way to share the information gathered with descendants of Charles Edward Goad and to honor that soldier.
Note: Listed as deserted shortly after Battle at Mill Springs, Kentucky.
- 3/1/2015 30 pages of Charles Edwards pension has been obtained and the bios in the memorial pictures have been updated to rev. B. The pension clarifies the stated desertion as he was sick at home. Once well, getting back to the regiment was found dificult and was not achieved.
- 7/12/2015 Rev C Added replacing rev B - Generation 3 was changed in lineage.
