Officer of Corps of Engineers, N. Y. Embarkation Port, Was 41

Captain Maurice De L. Kearney, attached to the Corps of Engineers, New York Port of Embarkation, Fifty-eighth Street and First Avenue, Brooklyn, died of a heart attack Wednesday night in Brooklyn while on his way home from his quarters. His age was 41. He resided at 1161 Shakespeare Avenue, the Bronx.

Captain Kearney, who was commissioned in the Army a year ago, was born in Manchester, N. H., and was graduated from the School of Engineering of Manhattan College in 1924. A construction engineer, he had worked here on various projects for the city and also for private contractors. Captain Kearney was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

He leaves a widow, Mrs. Audrey Graham Kearney; his parents; a sister, Miss Elizabeth Kearney, and a brother, Thomas Kearney.
