Pre-war

    Benjamin Richard Albury was born at Royal Island, Bahamas Islands, on September 6, 1811.  He married Sarah Curry, at Harbour Island, Bahamas on April 20, 1838;.  They had 5 children: Sarah (Elizabeth?) Albury, born 1839 at Nassau; Euphemia Albury, born 1844 at Bahama; Richard Albury, born 1847; Alonzo Albury, born 1849; and  Elizabeth Pearson Albury, born May 16, 1852 at Spanish Wells, Eleuthera, Bahamas.  The family migrated to Key West, Florida, in 1852.  His pre-war occupation was a fisherman.  His wife Sarah died ca. 1859 at Key West, Monroe County, Florida.
