    WALTON COUNTY (FLORIDA) CENSUS – 1860

    June 7th, 1860.  Residing at Euchee Anna, Florida.  Head of household John P. Morrison, age 30, male, born in SC;  Mary Jane Morrison, female, age 24, born in FL; Nancy Morrison, female, age 2, born in FL; Neill Morrison, male,  age 5m, born in FL; Mary J. Brown, female, age 16, born in FL

    War

      John P. Morrison, was enlisted as Private on May 15th,  1862 in Captain Cawthon’s  Company, Company H (Union Rebels), 6th Regiment Florida Infantry by S. A. Cawthon at Mount Vernon Arsenal, Florida, for a period of 3 years.  (Company Muster Roll for April 1st to July 1st, 1862).

      He is reported on the Company Muster Roll for June 30th through November 12th, 1862 as being discharged by order of Major General E. K. Smith at Knoxville, Tennessee on August 9th, 1862.

      He appears on a List of men of the 6th Florida Regiment discharged (asthma) for disability dated August 12th at Camp Kirby Smith, Knoxville, Tennessee.

      Post-War
