I am looking for information about the B25 my dad was a radio-gunner stationed in Corsica. His name was Arthur E Pekarek, born in Pulaski, WI in 1918. He passed away in 1987 and we cannot find any of his old photo's or things from the war. My mother who is 90 cannot remember much and we want to gather as much info as possible for her.

Flew 20 Missions and then was relocated to Serraglia Field on Corsica. On 11/1/44 started flying in B25's flying missions #25 to #38. Looking for info on aircraft and crew members during that time.

Created on: Mar-12-2012   Published on: Jul-14-2012

NOVEMBER, 2014;  71 here, catching up! Haha. Rewrote my book and published it as Kindle and paperback through Amazon. I thank you again for your input. :)

Chronology of Dad's Enlistment, Training, and Combat Missions in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations (MTO) 1944.

Messages from the author:

This edition is the "color" version and the cost is $101.00 each. The book has been expanded to 437 pages with added information on some of the missions. There are more stories of the B-26s and B-25s in the MTO.
There are maps and pictures that are in color. Some of the text is in different colors but the book can still be read as the different colors of text are also different fonts so they are easy to recognize.

Author Bio

This project is dedicated to my dad and for my mother, in remembrance of dad's WW ll tour of duty in 1944 and the MTO.

I am the eldest son of Art & Eleanor Pekarek, born while dad was in the service, USAAF. I was born in Chicago Illinois. My brothers are Art Jr., Mike, Tim and my surviving sister Christine.

My wife Jo and I have 5 children, Ken, Kathy, Diana, Jeff, and Jill. We live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and relocated here in 1976.

This book also serves as a remembrance of not only Arthur E Pekarek but also of all the men and women who served during WW ll. I hope it also serves as a tribute to all who have and are serving in the Military.
