on of John H. Bledsoe and Mary A. Kernes. On the 1880 census for Russell Co., KY, young Kotz is listed as "Kotzibus." He first married Orianna (Ora) Chamberlain, of Barbourville, Knox Co., KY, in about 1893. In 1894, they had a son, Clyde C., but the marriage soon ended in divorce. K. B. Bledsoe worked as the local newspaper editor while he lived in Barbourville. Later, after moving away, he became an insurance agent and married Ruby E. Young, with whom he had a daughter, Mary L. In 1930, they were living in Louisville, KY. Kotz B. Bledsoe served in the War with Spain, enlisting in 1898.
