Miss Gloria Personeus
Miss Gloria Personeus, 44, of South Broadway, Nyack, died Wednesday at the Nyack Hospital after a long illness. Miss Personeus had worked as a fashion designer of sportswear in New York City until her illness. Born Feb. 13, 1928 in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Hattie Barringer Personeus, who died in June, 1917 (sic. - should be 1971). Miss Personeus is survived by her father, Lester Personeus Sr. of Kingston; four brothers, Col. Lester Personeus Jr. of Baldwin, Miss., Gordon R. Personeus of Riverdale, N. J.; Douglas O Personeus of Durango, Colo., and Arlington M. Personeus of Akron, Ohio, and six sisters, Catherine Van Beuren of Newburgh, Harriet McGowan of Phoenix, Ariz., Beverly, wife of Edward Tillman of Trumbell, Conn., Constance Personeus of Nyack, Dariel, wife of Robert Stubbs of Kingston, and Priscilla, wife of William Pierce of Plattsburgh. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Entrusted to the care of the W. N. Conner Funeral Home, Inc., private funeral services will be held at Keyser's Kingston Chapel, Albany and Manor Avenues, Saturday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Harry D. Robinson, minister of the St. James Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial in Tongore Cemetery, Stone Ridge.
