**LEWISTOWN -- Patrick W. McKenzie, 68, of 133 W. Jewell died at 11:41 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 1997, at Methodist Medical Center in
Peoria, where he had been a patient for one week.

Born March 17, 1929, in Knox County, Mo., to James Alex and Mary Rourke McKenzie, he married Barbara Young on July 28, 1950, in Lewistown. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, John of Lewistown and Greg of St. Louis; three brothers, James of Danville, and Charles "Buck" and C. Paul, both of Lewistown; two sisters, Madeline Stutsman of Phoenix and Helen Capranica of Metamora; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy McKenzie.

He co-owned the former Cottonwood Service Station for 38 years until it closed in 1993. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a sergeant first class in the Army Reserves from 1952 to 1957. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5001. He was a member of Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills Country Club Senior Men's Golf League.

Services will be at Wednesday at Henry Memorial Home. The Rev. Jon Sims will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday at the memorial home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by the Lewistown VFW and American Legion posts.
