LEWISTOWN - Dwayne C. "Chick" Frederick, 75, a resident of Clayberg Nursing Home, formerly of 1426 N. Main St., died Friday, Jan. 10, 1992, at the Graham Hospital emergency room in Canton.

Born July 29, 1916, in Lewistown to Clarence E. and Faye Nickum Frederick, he married Dorotha E. Perry on June 27, 1935.

She survives, along with two daughters, Carol A. Tippey of Canton and Mrs. Jim (Linda) Arnett of Bryant; one brother, William K. of Washington; five grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.

He worked at Buckheart Mine for Freeman United Coal Co. in rural Canton for more than 40 years, and last worked as an oiler on the utility dragline. He retired in 1976. He was a member of Lewistown United Presbyterian Church, Lewistown Masonic Lodge 104 and the United Mine Workers of America Local 7455.

Services will be Tuesday at Henry Memorial Home, Lewistown. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the memorial home, where Masonic services will be conducted at 7:30. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
