My dad had three daughters: Charlotte, Carol and Nancy. Also he had four granchildren: Christopher, Michael, Brian and Jillian. I never knew a lot of his WWII story, so finding this site is great. About three years after his death in 1989, I got a call from Mrs. Mabbut. She said all her husband kept talking about was my Dad so she wanted to reach out and see if she could contact him so her husband, Bill, who was in his squadron, could reconnect with him. When I told her my Dad had died so told me Bill had Alzheimers and was remembering the War and wanted to talk with Tony.
If anyone has any stories about my Dad, please reach out to me. I would love to know the whole story, especially of his time in Italy when he was shot down. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you to all our corageous men and women who fought and continue to fight in these battles to save our freedom. May God bless each and every one of you.
