Following years of dedicated service as Prime Minister of England, on Apr. 24, 1953, Winston Churchill was invested as a Knight of the Garter by Queen Elizabeth II in London.  He received the title of Sir Winston Churchill, and also was awarded the Nobel Prize of Literature that same year for his public works in maintaining human values.  He retired from the position of Prime Minister just years after, and was a beloved British figure throughout the earth.
