Andrew Jackson Cannedy , son of James and Eliza Grizzle Cannedy, born May 13, 1824 died Aug. 15, 1874 in Fayette, Greene Co. IL. age 49yrs. 8months,2days, burial Taylor Cemetery Rockbridge,Illinois. He married Vylotte Dixon , daughter of Henry Jefferson Dixon and Elizabeth Lusk, Feb. 18, 1847 in Greene Co. IL.(Lic.#2383). Born Sept. 3, 1830 died May 8, 1917 In Eureka Springs, Carroll Co. Arkansas. Burial in Taylor Cem in Rockbridge Illinois.

** Mrs. Vylotte Dixon Cannedy, dau. of Henry Jefferson Dixon and Elizabeth Lusk Dixon, was born near Rockbridge,IL. and departed this life at the home of her daughter Mrs. R.M. Burk, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, May 8, 1917 aged 86 yrs., 8 months, 5 days. At the age of 16 yrs. old she was united in marriage to Andrew Jackson Cannedy. To this union 3 children were born, two daughters and 1 son, 1 daughter surviving, Mrs. R.M. Burk of Eureka Springs Arkansas. Abt. the year 1858 she and her family took up residence in Texas, where they continued to reside until the close of the Civil War. when they returned to Illinois, locating in Fayette, where they continued to make their home until the death of her husband in 1874. She made her home with her daughter. Mrs. Cannedy was a sister of the late Samuel Dixon and Mrs. Ellen Ober-Dixon, both of whom were well known in the Greenfield Vicinity. Her body was brought to Rockbridge where it was interred in the Taylor Cemetery. Her children were: James Jefferson, Mary A. Molly Carr Burk, Josephine Olive(1866-1866).**
