At a Cald [sic] Court Held at Augusta Court House the fourteenth Day of October One Thousand seven Hundred and Sixty five for the Examination of Judith Ryley who stands Committed to the Common Goal of this County Charged the Feloniously murdering of her Bastard Child

The above named Judith Ryley was led to the Barr and upon Examination denied the fact whereupon she stands charged whereupon several witnesses were sworn and Examined upon the Premises and the Prisoner heard in her own defence on Consideration of which and of the circumstances relating to the Crime It is the Opinion of the Court that the Prisoner ought to be tryed for the said supposed Fact at the Court of Oyer and Terminer to be held at the Capitol in the City of Williamsburg on the second Tuesday in December next and in order thereof she is remanded to the Goal of this County to be thence removed to the Public Goal in the City of Williamsburg according to Law.
