That piece of red, white and blue cloth stands for a system and a country that does not honor it's own word...If it stood for honor and truth, it would remember our treaties and give them the appropriate place under international law. But it doesn't. It dishonors its own word and violates its treaties...

    Chief Stranger Horse Brule/Sicangu

    Chief Stranger Horse was a warrior in his youth, yet served as a scout in the U. S. Army under General Crook during 1876-1877. He settled on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation in the Butte Creek District, near Wood, South Dakota, during the early reservation period. He made several trips to Washington DC and in 1921 was a guest of President Harding.

    Chief Stranger Horse received two Washington Peace Medals.
