Richard Lee Schwarzwalder 83, of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 at Conway Regional Medical Center. He was born September 20, 1928 at Fairburg, Illinois to the late Matthew and Ada (Bloem) Schwarzwalder.

He served in the U.S. Army in Occupied Japan following World War II, 1946 and 1947. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Fairfield Bay, AR.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Donna Schwarzwalder of Fairfield Bay, AR; brother, Willis Schwarzwalder of Rowlett, TX; three daughters and one son, Cindy Johnson and her husband Ron of Durham, NC; Barbara Casey and her husband Jim of Durango, NC; Julie Kitchell and her husband Ken of Brooklyn, NY; and Steve Schwarzwalder and his wife Becky of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Maggie, Erin and Joe Casey, Matt and Dan Kitchell and Dan's wife Christen, and Stephanie Schwarzwalder.
