From Nephew He Never Knew

	Well I unfortunately never met him, because I was born after he died. From what my mother has told me he was a good person, and one of her family that she had liked the most! I wish I could have gotten to know him! I wanted to Post his picture to honor him for what he had done for our country and our freedom.

I remember Tom and his half brother Jim Spry. Tom joined the Army first, then Jim joined. They were both in country together, but Tom was trying to get Jim sent home, as there were no other male survivors in their family. Tom was killed before he could finish his paperwork quest, but Jim was sent home anyway for the funeral, then on to Germany and then separated. I was at the memorial service for Tom in Ballwin and remember it being a very sad time for his parents. About a year later I too joined the Army. I have been to the Wall on the Mall in Washington and have left mementos for Tom and others I knew who made the ultimate sacrifice in that war. Sunday, August 05, 2001

My Mom and Dad named me after Tom Foster when I was born in January 1970. My Dad was also in the service but managed not to be sent to Vietnam. I often think about Tom Foster and sometimes I miss him, even though I never knew him. I did visit the Wall Memorial in DC and saw his name. Tuesday, October 15, 2002
