Sergeant McReynolds was a member of Battery A, 82nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery (Automatic Weapons) Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. He developed hemorrhagic fever and was evacuated to the 48th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital where he died on February 17, 1953. Sergeant McReynolds was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
