irth: Oct. 23, 1843 Fincastle Botetourt County Virginia, USA Death: Jan. 5, 1929, USA Founder of Kappa Alpha Order. Son of Benjamin and Naomi Cross Ammen of Fincastle, Virginia. Served as a soldier and Sailor of the Confederate State of America. He was one of the Founders of the Kappa Alpha Order and was the sole author of its ritual and wrote the accolade and prayer. During his Confederate service he served as a Private in, Co.D, 11th Virginia Infantry, Regt. and was Discharged on May 19, 1862.
