aughter of David Tate and Mary (Polly) Chamberlain, of E. TN. First married Gilbert H. Peck in 1839; they had a son, Gilbert Hawkins. After Gilbert Sr.'s death, she married James Herd Lones, with whom she had two more children, Mary F. (Molly) and Wm. Alexander. Both Comfort and husband Gilbert are buried in Martha Sunderland Cemetery, Hamblen Co.
