amily tradition has it that a direct ancestral surname is Moffatt. It is said the Moffatt Family were present in New York City before the Revolutionary War and fought with the Tories. The Family had their own pew in Trinity Church of New York CIty, New York. There is one person listed as buried in the Trinity Church Graveyard. Her name is Tabitha Moffatt. Her tombstone is there, I have seen it and touched it. She was born about 1765 and did die 19 April 1780 at age 25 years.
