Edward N Rumsour

This is the last known record of Edward N Rumsour (1828-bef 1865), son of Rebecca Bennington and Henry Rumsour, and husband of Lucinda Sarah Jane Nolen. Rumsour served in the same company as Edward Mason Ramsower (1822-1907), son of Patsey Richey and William Joseph Ramsower, and husband of Mary "Polly" Ann Anthony. Apparently this record was used to obtain the Civil War marker for Ramsower's grave, and is now lost to Rumsour. They could well be cousins as there are arguments on spelling.

It is assumed that Edward N Rumsour was a casualty of the Civil War, as he married on 11 Oct 1854 in Lamar County Texas, 1860 Census, and Land Patent there 30 Mar 1861 on 160 acres; wife remarried 27 Sep 1865 still in Lamar County.
