During WWII, Robert Dale was in the Army, mostly Africa, Italy, France and Germany. At the same time his father, a minister, served as a chaplain and was stationed in England. His brother, Paul Winston, was in the Navy serving in the Pacific. All 3 made it home safely! My grandmother worked as a typist at the VA. She introduced her sons, Dale and Paul to 2 girls who worked with her. They ended up marrying the girls. Their father performed the marriages.
