Missing Air Crew Report # 4896 was filed concerning the aircraft B-17F - 42-29702 piloted by 1st Lt. William G. Renaud on the 13 June 1943. John J. Lambert was the Navigator. I have summarized what could be read from the report which is not totally legible. I verified the names from the 95th Bomb Group reports of missing and killed in action personnel associated with the aircraft.

Note: DED 6-14-1944 indicates no word on MIA Personnel assumed dead on this date. It appears that only the bodies of McMurty, Lambert, and Julliard were actually found since all three are listed as KIA.

I further certify that the following is a correct statement and facts as obtained from the S-2 files for this mission:
B-17F - 42-29702 piloted by 1st Lt. William G. Renaud on the 13 June 1943, was seen over Keil, Germany and was last sighted at 54 to 55 degrees North latitude and 08 to 10 degrees East Longitude. On this mission a great deal of enemy opposition was encountered (over 100 aircraft), causing ten aircraft of this unit to be lost. No cutes were seen to leave the aircraft.
