The 448th Bomb Group

  • Station 146 Seething, Norfolk, UK

First Lt. La Riviere was in the U. S. Army Air Forces and KIA on April 4, 1945 with 9 other crew members.  Their B-24 was hit by a German Messerschmitt with a R4M air-to-air missle. His name is on the Tablets of the Missing at Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten. He was awarded with an Air Medal with 3 oak leaf clusters and the Purple Heart.
